IIRC, Aeroform made that kit. I could be mistaken though.

And if you're losing the kit on the cougar, I want first dibs :D

EDIT: Just looked it up, Aeroform made the kit. I don't believe they are anymore.

It was still listed on AeroForm's website up until a few months ago. They pretty much removed their entire catalog of products off their site. Feel free to give them a call though... they might have some still in warehouse somewhere.

oh, and iirc, it costs about 2500, fyi.

Trust me that Cougar putting it's best side forward. They look kind of wacky nunu from the rear view. Notice how high the quarters are? They are two raised ridges that run to the rear of the car but the trunk deck is stock height from what I remember, it looked weird to me.

I never notice the filled grill panel before... It looks like a 89-90. By now it's probably a really sorry basket case if it hasn't already gone to the scrap yard.

They used to have a few crappy pics of it them on the Aeroform website, long ago. I recall a blue one?

Well that's a little better picture of it then I recall... I seem to recall a rear one of the cougar too but i dunno. I don't think it looked quite as good as the rear of the bird?

those are so sexy its almost pornographic. makes them almost look like a ferrari, or an acura nsx.... i liek them. those side louvers would make good brake vents. and has to WAAAAY better the handling of these cars.

hehe the Cougar kit is on an LS! That's funny I expected to see the XR7 tails...

and has to WAAAAY better the handling of these cars.
I'm sure that 89~90 LS V6 with all that extra weight glued onto the body handles like a dream! Certainly better then in stock form. ;)

Now all it needs is some wheel spacers that'll add a horrible vibration at 55~60 mph and it'll be a dream to drive.

If I toss 20 lbs in the trunk of my '97 Sport I feel it's handling change and the butt starts to kick a bit when the car's shifting it's weight from left side to right. Like doing mildly quick lane changes at speed. (without anything in the trunk the body roll is a very smooth transition from left side to right)

I guess the rear doesn't look as terrible as I remember but it's not for me. anyway this one's 100% about looks, you'll definately take a negative performance hit in weight and handling for having added it.

pfft. i mean the wider stance. fatter tires... not added weight. besides it probably does better to the weight distribution too.

Nada see me revised comments. weight distribution must be taking a negative hit with this kit. I'll bet my stock V8 sport will run circles around that thing! It's a V6 too so it's even lighter up front and all that crap glued to the backside. IMO It'll handle like a dog compared to my stocker and I'll smoke it in the straight aways too with my measly 210hp detuned V8!

If that's a stock car they slapped that kit on it's a tired old dog that just happens to look slick.

All that other technical stuff aside, it is one slick looking cat! The birds look great too, but that wide body kit really looks at home on a cat !!!

It looks so good, I'ld be tempted to ....
.... well, wife says NO for now. :(

I have seen ONE of those kits one time, it was on a 91 or so SC, white....the body filler where the kit attached was all cracked & screwed up...the kit itself was fine, the whole car just needed a freshening...it was for sale...a rather tired car that htey wnated way too much for.
