Clockspring is behind the drivers airbag; it's not too hard to swap.

You do want to remove the battery, and wait an hour before you start dinking with it; an airbag is only gonna blow up in your face once.

There are bolts on both sides of the ST Wheel that loosen the airbag; then unplug the connector and set it aside.

The clockspring is the big black assembly.

Do not turn the replacement; make sure it's taped in place so it won't move until your get it in, then remove the tape.

You can get one from a mark Viii, Mustang, Crown Vic, Gran Marquis, and possibly other cars.
Or buy one new.
