I've seen several comments in a few threads concerning how difficult it is to remove the wiper blades, so I thought I'd offer a hint. Turn the key on and then turn the wipers on. When the wiper is at the top, stop it by turning the key off in order to stop the wipers at the top. Mark the position with a couple of pieces of masking tape. With the hood raised, the wiper arms can be raised just enough to release the retaining clips to remove them. Do whatever you need to do and then return the wiper arms in the position they stopped in. Do NOT turn the key back on until they have been replaced. (I disconnected the battery cable just in case.) I hope this helps.
