So this girl has a 95 mustang with a 3.8 in it. automatic. I told her when she bought it to be careful cuz the head gaskets which thankfully haven't gone yet but I told her to watch out for that 4R70W tranny as well... She doesn't listen of course and she's been driving it like ****... well the tranny died. guess what failed... the Torque converter and the clutch. I told her to contact the dog and get it done right with a higherstall.. hell to be honest she'd be better off finding a low mileage 99+ tranny... but they never listen and she's getting it done... she says its costing her 500 dollars but it seems to me if the torque convert goes out doesn't that usually mean a rebuilt tranny?? I dont know naything about that department but oh well... She wants to listen to her b/f and some back yard mechanic than listen to me when I tell her consult this forum for info... thats fine with me.
