After working all day w/ a come along, a tree and a crow bar to pull the hood open on my old Tbird, and jerry rig a new battery in it , it won;t start. It is only a parts car, but I need to move it from down in the woods to the garage. I hit a F250 head on @ 45MPH with it about a year ago. I drove it home to where it sits today, but it won't start. after I put the battery in it, all the electronics worked until you tried to crank it over. Everything goes dead? WTF? the only thing that continues to work is the whiring of the fuel pump? does anyone know whats going on?

Check the battery and the cables. Sounds like a dead short if the battery is good.

So, you drove the car after the accident? If not, I would place my bet on the fuel pump inertia switch.

Good advice from the above post. Fords are finicky about having clean, tight connections on and around the battery.
