Just wanted to share that with my fellow MN12 owners It's a JL 12W3 pushed by a Pioneer 760watt amp. Oh, and I also have a 1 farad Monster Cap because Ford sucks like that and I have powerful lights at night

does that monster cap help the dimming of lights alot? Also did your volts gauge on the dash go down when the bass hit before you added the cap? Im looking for a good way to end these problems.

Amp, it sounds great! The only rattling that occurs is on my license plate. And burns, the monster cap helped A LOT. It didn't completely cure the dimming (if you turn it up loud enough at idle, it'll still do it), but when the car is moving, the dimming is practically gone.

I've got a Jensen 10" 525W MAX powered by a 600W American Legacy amp. I've heard alot of good things about JL and I may end up getting a 12". Would my amp support say the sub you've got now? TIA

The JL 12W3(what i have) is rated at 250watts rms. Since your amp is 600watts peak, i'm almost positive that it will meet the rms requirements. In other words, yes your amp can push a JL 12W3. If not, and I highly doubt it, you can go for a JL 12W0 which is rated at 125watts rms.

hey alex, does the volt gauge still go down when the bass hits? I have 3 JL Audio 10w0s and my volt gauge goes down quite a bit.

Also to solve the liscense plate rattle, i used some fiber fill that came in sheets, its about a half inch thick. It works great.

Hey burns, during the day my voltage gauge used to go down all the way down to a little bit left of the N. Now when i turn it up during the day, it will go down but only to the left of the M, very minimal movement and only present on hard kicks. At night however lol....I have 85watt PIAA crystal ion fog lights and 35watt HID lights. That's not all though, on the inside i have an assortment of neons and blacklights and LEDS. With all this crap on at night, when my car is at idle, it sits to the left of the N anyways lol. When the amp kicks however, the voltage gauge does not change, nor do the lights dim. When moving, the gauge barely moves, although the needle sits smack dab in the center of the gauge. When turned up LOUD though at night, I will still get some slight dimming, but only on hard Dre kicks lol.
