Doesn't look killed, but for the price and it missing the bumper cover, needing a real grille, interior bits fixed(they couldn't settle on a color to call it in the ad) (but probably a TCCoA member with the Taurus cup holders added), the weird side exit exhaust, nasty curbed rims, whatever is hanging down in the back, needing paint....etc

But a 5 speed!!!1 2800 bucks hahaha

Whatever... I'm surprised Serra Chev even let that thing on the lot.

They sold their store here {SW Ohio} because folks around here would rather buy something like that at a small family lot, you get a much better deal. And they always {according to my bro} came out high end in comparison shopping for new cars.

BTW: When you're taking pix of a car for sale, dont set it over or near a pavement crack seal job. heh

Are you sure that the dealerships are related?

Example: do you know how many unrelated "courtesy chevrolet" there are in the US?
Easily dozens. Hundreds if you account for other marquees.

absolute insanity that a dealership would offer something in that bad of shape on their used lot. And at such an insane price! That kinda money will buy a lot of car in the MN12 world...even here where people know what they are...If that is going for 2800 could I get 6 grand for my car as is? I think not.

$500-1000 if it runs and has no major mechanical issues. Your looking at $5k+ to get back to good condition.

Beat up from the feet up. I could only imagine how the drivetrain was taken care of.

That's what I'm thinking. Yeah, there are cosmetic issues but I think we all know this thing was beat on by some punk kid! It's probably dangerously close to HG failure (if not already.)

But it's a powerful V6 hooked up to a smooth shifting transmission!!!! Not many cars have transmissions you know, it was an option.

I like the porno music in the video. I can't believe they wasted the time to make a video for that car. How embarrassing.

I found a black 90 XR7 5sp at the yard this weekend that was in better shape than this one. It at least still had the grill/bumper and 'SC' style seats and the XR7 wheels.

If it's a 90, then why is the first digit in the VIN a "1"? Wouldn't that make it a 91?
1ME is a Mercury Passenger vehicle made in the US. (1 means in the US, 2 like my Grand Marquis means Canada)

year is the 10th spot, L, which is 1990

You thinking it was one of those 1991 SC XR7s?

Oh. Thanks. I was thinking they still use the same system I had learned about the Fords from the 60's and 70's. The first digit was always the year. 7 would be 1967 (or 77, or 87 or 97 or 07 I thought) 8 would be 68. and 1 was 1971. I thought they kept that system.
I think they still use it for parts except they have a letter telling the decade.
A lot of my 1970 Cougar parts began with D0W- - - meaning D is the 70's decade and 0 was the exact year, and the 60's Cougar parts began C7, C8, and C9 and it continued to F1 for my 91 Cougar which also has come E9 (1989) parts.

Thanks. (for 91) I never took the time to learn what everything in the VIN meant.
I know a lot more about the old (67-70) Cougars than I do my 1991. Back then they were more specific when listing where it was built. F for Dearborn and R for San Jose. There were other codes/plants too, but not for Cougars
