Engine swap and transmission questions

I've got a 96 tbird with the 3.8 engine that I will be removing soon. I've got an engine from a gt from the same year on the way and I need some information to help prepare for this swap. 1st off will that engine bolt up to my current 4r70w? If not where can I get an adapter kit for said swap? Do I need to consider other changes as well? I know the 4.6 trans had extra gears and I may upgrade to accommodate the extra amount of torque. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

More needs changed than you might want to do - V8 PCM, V8 rearend, etc. Obviously, need the exhaust too, likely full custom.

I think the trans will match up but someone else here can chime in. Definitely need a torque converter and flex plate. That's assuming the engine is from a manual trans car? All OD transmissions from that ERA have the same number of gears.

These swap proposals come up all the time. Never hear if they went thru with it. Actually, never hear from them again, so I assume they didn't do it.

The engine I got came with the computer and all the accessories. It's basically ready to be dropped in. I plan on doing a custom exhaust setup for sure. I'm not sure whether or not it's out of a manual or auto trans but I'll convert it if I need to. My main concern is if it'll bolt up to my current transmission.

It will not bolt up, the 6 is a sbf pattern, v8 4.6 is different. That trans is lighter built, a v8 will kill it quick. It can be fixed during a rebuild.
