This morning I had the pleasure to spend 2 hours removing four simple little TC-flex plate nuts. As frustrating as this was, I thought I would share some tips on removing them.
1) 9/16 or 14mm wrench (6 sided if you have one). If your nuts are rusted you should really soak them with WD40 or similar and wait 30 minutes before wrenching on it.
2) Once your 9/16 or 14mm wrench stripes the nut, try a vice grips.
3) After you strip your nut completely round, try a propane torch to heat up the nut and try the vice grips again.
4) If that doesn't work. Grab a chisel and a hammer. It's going to be about 2 hours to bust your nuts off. You want your chisel to knock the nut around counter clockwise. Take your time, be patient and play music to keep your mind sane.
That is all!
